Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family that would ultimately consist of 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to overcome the challenges of her living through her vibrant and expansive imagination. Before she learned to read and write Dolly Parton was composing her own music. The first guitar she received was gifted by her mother when she was eight. She started singing at the Knoxville Tenn station by the age of eleven. The first album she recorded was during the same year on Gold Band Records, a tiny independent label. In high school she established herself local, but longed for having a bigger stage. After graduating high school in 1964, she moved immediately to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums on Monument Records. Around this time, Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for the show he had syndicated to television. Parton was offered the gig and in the year 1967, she signed with RCA Records in 1968 and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. It was not until 1974 that she decided to leave Wagoner's program as the popularity of her solo albums including Joshua Coat, Many Colors and Jolene was outstripping their joint efforts. The two split in 1974, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it debuted at the top spot at No. First time, in 1974.
