Ky-mani is a native of Falmouth, Jamaica, to Robert Nesta Marley, a legend as well as Jamaican champion in table tennis, Anita Belnavis. East African word Ky-mani means "adventurous traveler". For a man living up to his moniker, each album and every trip to the Caribbean is an exciting experience. The Journey was his first musical venture. He was an eclectic artist with a passion for music and was searching for his unique musical style. As of 2001 Many More Roads (Grammy-nominated) A "traditional" reggae record was made available, showing a more mature Ky-mani. Many More Roads and The Journey was well-received throughout the world. The album established Ky-Mani's position as an artist who is independent. Ky-Mani's style is a mix of reggae roots, layered along with hip hop, R&B and contemporary jazz.
